Working on a 93' acord that lost spark while running. It was running off one of those remote start modules for 5 mins and quit. Replaced distributor and swapped in known good coil. Still no spark. Does anyone have any experience with the remote start set ups? It appears to be an older unit, was contemplating just cutting wire and eliminating it. What do you guys think?

What I mean by is, with the key, it will just crank over with no spark. Did not want to confuse anyone into thinking it was the remote not working.

I wouldn't think that remote starting would actually kill the spark, but i could be wrong.

Usually, a no-start condition is caused by a bad crankshaft position sensor. Run the computer trouble codes.

Mike, Did you check to see if the rotor spins while turning/cranking over? Timing belt may have broke.

OK Mike, check for power(12v)at black wire with yellow tracer at distributor connector with key on.If no power, check for blown fuses at under-dash fuse panel.Particularly the # 2 and 9 fuse.
