Trying to find the name of a company that sells metal halide 400 watt lights. I lost the name and all I remember it was in western U.S. and was something like econ light or something. any help greatly apprecitated

You have found out the same thing that others have, people are selling on Ebay for more than retail. They offer it, someone will buy it.

Lots of new Snap-On tools selling for over retail. You can order off the SO web site cheaper, and shipping is free too.

The ebay guy stuck you for a price? I thought you were allowed to bid the maximum you put down.

I like to do the research and when I buy and sell, I make sure the shipping charges are understood.

I asked for the name of the company that made them and he said they were made for him specially and had no name on them. When I got the lights I found the company name on the box found the website, lights were about 30 bucks cheaper and free shipping. He was selling the lights, charging shipping, getting paid then charging my order to his credit card and having them drop shipped to my address. He don't even touch them.

Thats where I bought the first time. When they were shipped the box had a different name and I found the website, the lights were 20-30 cheaper than the e-pay guy stuck me for and free shipping.

You need to do research before you buy anywhere. If you see ads for making money on eBay, it's most likely how to do drop ship sales. The ads are commonplace. You list the items, sell them and the supplier ships them. You have no inventory, storage or shipping with which to contend. If you don't sell you're only out the possible listing fees.
