Does anyone out there have a waste oil burning stove? I was wondering what you used for a pump to get the oil from the barrel to the stove. Our old pump is shot and just looking for some imput.
thanks

I've got my oil in a 55 gal. drum with the stove's feed line going within 6" of the drum's bottom. I use air pressure (6- 10 psi) to pressurize the drum and push it up and into the stove. 8)

Get yourself an old engine oil pump. Powerit with a reverable electric drill. I worked on a hydraulic spreader bea that had the oil tank located where it took two men and a small boy to ad hydraulic oil. I took an oil pump from a 4000 Ford diesel I had rebuilt. It has a hex drive. I rigged up some extentions and power it with a drill. Worked like a champ.

Hey there, ADM. The IH dealership I work at has two Clean Burn 500,000 BTU waste oil heaters. They use a transfer pump like you"re looking for , but for the life of me, I can"t remember the name brand of the pumps!! You could go to the Clean Burn site and see what they have to say. I"ll look Monday when I get back to work and see what they use. We also have one old rebuilt pump from one of our old heaters that was recently replaced. I"ll get back to you when I find out something.
