I am trying to send a few pics to a guy up in Wi.pics and notes concerning a dump truck he is interested in.
He receives nothing I send to him.
I rec. everything he sends to me in a matter of minutes--big pictures-letters- everything.
I send a one letter note----TEST-- to him and it doesn't go thru.
What is the problem?????

If you cant even get a test msg thru to him, it is either his spam catcher, or his isp filtering it off as spam, before it gets to his spam filter. Many ISP's have two levels of filtering. One before it hits the pop server to eliminate the obvious spams, virus infected msgs, and other attacks, and another on the pop server at customer level.

Can you have him send you a msg and do a reply to it? If he can't get that then setup a gmail account and use it to send a msg.

What is your email address, is it a *@yahoo.com or *@hotmail.com? What is his?

My wifes friend has a Yahoo address and my isp always blocks it as spam no matter how many times I marked it as not spam. Finally had to setup a gmail account and no more trouble.

I have had the same type of problem where I can't send big files from comcast's webpage, but if I use MS outlook I have no problems. Seems that some ISPs have limits on the size of the file you can send. When he doesn't get it do you get an email back saying there was a problem? If you don't get one have the guy check his spam mail since I would venture to guess it might be in there. You could also try replying to his email, sometimes that works out the kinks (for some unknown reason).

Yes, occasionally ISP'ers do have concerns with each other. Why not email your stuff to a buddy who will then forward it to the guy you want to send it to? As long as everyone knows what's going on. I've done that and it works well.

Ken has pointed out the most common cause...

Also, some internet providers have trouble with others - for example, my local phone company of XIT has trouble delivering email to Yahoo. Not sure why - XIT blames it on Yahoo (of course), but it's been a recurring problem for a couple of years.

In other words, you might try setting up another account for yourself, like Gmail or hotmail or whatever and try sending it from one of those.

Also, there is not a chance your address book somehow got him marked down wrong, is there?? Then when you hit "reply" it looks up his name in the address book and grabs the wrong addres?? I've seen that with a couple of users I support at work...

Could be his spam filter.
In my case, my ISP saves spam for a week and I can go to their site and look in the junk box. I do it now and then to check if something got dumped.

Yahoo! saves my spam for 30 days. Sometimes a reply from this site winds up in the spam box. I check once in a while to see since I get about 100 spam a day. If I took advantage of all the millions in cash that overseas friends want to give me, I could pay off the national debt. I just don't have time to deal with it.
