T bone you said something about not posting under Joe's comments. How do you control where your post is going? I don't know nothing about this. Please and thanks.

Hi amertrac,

The typical fan circuit operates off a stat on the heat exchanger at line voltage, not on the room T-Stat (low voltage). The room T-stat only controls the main gas valve on/off. On fan stats, some are adjustable, some are not.

If the unit was working just fine before, then the fan stat needs replaced. Careful here as the high limit SAFETY stat looks the same as the fan stat but works on a different temperature setting.

Hi Bob,

I was just trying to point out that heating units can be wired many different ways and not trying to disprove what Joe said and is why I didn't post under Joe's comments.

Another question that the internet just can't answer correctly as there's too many considerations depending on how the unit is wired.

T Bone, the 110 circut to the fan is wired to the aquastat only . it works off the heat of the return of the zone .it is seperate from thermostat .i have had this aquastat for a number of years as well as several uses i beleive it is time for retirement.thanks again bob w.

Disconnect the Thermo switch to the fan ( which means ) remove the thermo switch and let the fan run off the Thermostate only ...

T_Bone is Right --- it all depends on how it's wired -- simply use an Ohm-meter and check the voltage --- it can be Low or High Voltage --- so you want to get that right ....
