In my search for an inexpensive way to get a new tank for my compresor, I thought I would see if a "Rplacement Part" from Sears might be a good deal. They have surprised me in the past, so why not check?
Well they have no way to look up a part without the model number of the compressor. (duh, but I didn't design their inventory system). So I am looking for model numbers off older 40 to 80 gal compressors so I can get a quote on the tank.
Anyone out there want to help? Thanks

You might try an industrial supply. Graingers has 60 gal tanks for $445. Depends on what you consider pricey I guess. Air tanks are high libility items so you pay more for the risk the manufacturer assumes

I can't comment on this partticular case, but most big Sears replacement parts are almost as expensive as the machines they came from.

I have a sears air compressor with an 80 gallon upright tank. model # 919.177150
upright tank part # TA-4129
horozontal tank # TA-4134
Other model numbers in this group are:
919.177250
919.177350
919.177450
If the first model number doesn't work, try some of the others. But you should be able to get a tank with any model number and the part number.
I hope this helps. JIM

Thanks,
That one is a bit pricey, but I will keep trying.
When I get parts from Sears I am always surprised by the price. Always much more or much less than I expect. Seems that sometimes they put a price in the system when the part is new, and 20 years later they sell it at the same price.
One can always hope :)
