I use AVG - actually bought the good one. I've used SpyBot for years - I know you can only run ONE antivirus program but will SpyBot & Malware coexist? Thanks for suggestions!

Microsoft Live One Care freaks out if you have another anti-virus program. This is on my home computer. I do run AdAware on it as well but i use the free version so it's not active at all times. Live One likes to be in charge and it gets testy sometimes.

At work I run AVG and AdAware on all the computers. Some of them have Spybot loaded as well. We have no problems at all with any incompatibility.

Knock on wood!

Bud,

I use AVG, AdAware and Spybot and run them simultaneously without problems.

I've ran both Spybot S&D and AGV together with no apparent problems, but both of these "play well with others" much better than any of the Norton products, which for the last 10 years have been on my "don't use" list due to them causing more problems than they solve.

I agree with the Norton idea. I have a sterile computer-no internet, no foreign disks at all allowed. I am the only person on it so all should be safe. I had Norton, and when it expired the troubles began. Constant pop up with 350 virus detected, someone is looking --type junk. I refuse to buy a product that I know is throwing themselves at me. My computer man says you can't believe the idiots that buy from pop ups and more less forced threats to buy computer products.

I tried to run McAfee, and downloaded AVG, And my internet provider had a free CA. That made the political board here seem like a church picnic. It took my computer man at least a hr and a half to undo my mess.
