I agree with what was said about Coleman, I am one of their service centers and if it were not for the service contract with Lowes that I have, I would not be a service center. They not only discontinue parts quick, their dealer service is terrible, and either they have so high of a failure rate they cannot keep parts in stock or they just do not stock many parts, whatever the case, they have poor parts delivery. Enough of that rant, I also work on a lot of the Chinese generators, and yes people are getting adequate service for the money they pay. They are not made to high specs or tolerances, after sale service on 90% of them are terrible. As for service, McCulloch, Champion and Wen and probably 3 of the best so far, I have also dealt with All-Power, AWS, GXI, and they have NO technical support what so ever, they have no idea how to trouble shoot their own generators. I have a GXI that I have been trying to get a starter to repair a generator for over 3 months, cannot get. As for overall quality, they are cheap set, cheap made, poor castings, poor tolerances, gaskets do not hold up long term, their output on most are all over the place, but with ANSI specs for a portable generator, the do not sell little parts, if you need a bowl gasket on carb, you buy a carb, not gaskets. I could go on and on about the poor quality of most, but you get the idea. You get what you pay for, you buy cheap, you get cheap!
