My computer is hanging up. Move the mouse and the pointer moves but click right or left button and nothing. I have to shut it off from the rear switch and reboot. Any ideas? Thanks.

Need to open "tempoary internet files" located in fies or folder on startup menu, open this file, click on the "cookies you find", delete excess files.,or you can delete all cookies or files- this will erase all personal prefrences you have , such as settings for web sites. These cookies or cache files will slow down the computer, scandisk & defrag are good but you have to delete these other files. 64meg is ok,but, what you need is MORE POWER! 384 meg for me, yes its a Binford! hope this helps. Win98-Open the start menu, open system tools, then maintainence wizard. You may then set Windows to automaticly run defrag and scandisk to optimize your hard drive. This will maximize your performace and usually solve these minor glitches. I have my unit set to run at 3am/4am each thursday, just leave it turned on and forget it, takes about 1hr. max. Works for me anyway.

Ray, I run defrag and scandisk on mine and it still does. I have 90% system resources free.

I wonder if memory has anything to do with it? I started with 64MB. Is there any way to check memory? Thanks!

You can reboot your machine, and when you see the prompt(be quick) press a key to see system settings. I'm no expert so hopefully one will jump in here!

Check your performance percentage. Maybe it is way down. Like to keep them at least 85%..
