Hi AJ,
Propane and acetylene are quite different in regard to the safety factor. Pressure settings and proper handling of the acetylene cylinder are of utmost importance. I encourage you to obtain information pertaining to the safe use and handling of acetylene before you use that equipment. Victor publishes a very good pocket manual you should be able to obtain free of charge from a Victor distributor.

An Oxy/Acet set up is what you need,as stated in the orevious follow up. You can use propane as the fuel instead of Acet. Propane is cheaper, but you need to have a special tip for your cutting handle. I use it mostly for cutting and some heating. You still would need Acet. if you wanted to bronze or steel weld.

Just a plain ol' Oxy-Acet. torch/cutter setup, will work fine.
