Older Craftsman chainsaw

I lost the manual to this thing, and can't remember the oil mix ratio.

It is about 20 years old Craftsman, 3.7 / 18", red, heavy built.

Just hoping maybe someone here can tell me.

If it a red one, probaly a Remington or Poulan, they wull use a 32:1 mix

I have a 30 year old red Craftsman and the mix is 16-1 but I have other saws that use 32-1 and 50-1. I use the exact mix oil that works on all ratios from 1-1 to 50-1 and have had no problems. The 30 year old Craftsman still cuts as good today as when new. It has been hard to start from day one and still is but once going no problem. Quote on the oil
One-Mix and Exact-Mix Two-Cycle Oils
One way to eliminate several different containers
with different oil mix ratios is to use an exact-mix or onemix
two-cycle oil. These oils can be used in engines
requiring 1:1 to 50:1 mixes. A given amount of this oil
(usually 2.6 oz) is mixed with one gallon of gasoline and
can be used in any two-cycle engine which uses a mix
ratio of 1:1 to 50:1.

Max,

I have an old Sears brand chainsaw that is about 20 or 25 years old. I haven't used it for about 5 years, but "it ran when I parked it".

Believe it or not, it uses a 16:1 mixture. I don't have a manual for it, but it has plate on the saw that specifies 16:1.

"Someday" I'm going to fire it back up.

My Craftsman uses 50-1 but many of my 2 strokers use 32-1 so I feed the craftsman that too. Figure a little more oil won't harm it. Have to clean the plug ever onece in a great while.
