I have an early '60s vintage IR compressor model HBF7, code 066T, sn 22568. It is running about 575 rpm. Anyone tell me about how much air this thing will put out at say, 80 psi? Can anyone direct me to parts or to a web site. TIA, ray

Find the displacement of all first stage cylinders.

Pi/4 x (diameter squared) x stroke x # of 1st stage cylinders.

You will need 1hp for every 10 cubic inches.

4 cfm per horsepower.

There is a manual that contains data on the majority of past and present compressor pumps. That book will tell you the pumps output at various speeds, the horsepower needed to drive it at those speeds, and the maximum(and in some cases minimum) safe speed for the pump. Unfortunately I don't know the books title or publisher. A shop that rebuilds and/or assembles compressors will have a copy. Good luck...Al English
