Hi redtom, I always do what slowpoke recommended---highlight and copy. Even when I don't have to go back to edit, sometimes, especially at a time of day when there's a lot of internet traffic, the screen will time out before moving on to the next one. If you get into the habit of copying your text you can do it in seconds, then you'll never lose what you've typed. Also, if I'm going to post a lengthy message or reply (which for me means usually), I'll minimize this screen and open Word, or the text editor of MS Works to work in. The spell check is a definite bonus, and working on a full screen lets me see what I've already said without having to scroll up and down in this little box. After I copy and paste here, the original still exists in case something goes wrong during posting. Of course it's still in the clipboard from being copied, but on a few things, I'm still a belt and suspenders kind of guy. My first computer, in 1983, would make as much work disappear as you cared to do at one sitting. Since it was a slow and awkward system, and saving to disk was not a quick process, sometimes quite a lot of work would end up in the cyber void. I've been overcautious about saving work ever since. All the best, Stan
