I own Snap-On mig welder , but at work , there's an Ironman 250 with a Miller gun..Have not had any problems with the Ironman in 5 years of use..I don't weld everyday , but I probably have run 10-12 10 lb. spools of wire through it..figure on some consumables , tips , nozzles should be kept in stock..I usually run .035 wire for all around welding..Recently ran 308L stainless when mounting stainless salt spreaders on the new plow trucks..Had to use a helium,argon,co2 mix for stainless... For normal steel welding I use 75-25 argon,co2 mix..

the ironman series welders are the exact same things as the miller welders. Hobarts are cheaper, therefore, i bought a hobart.

Hobart was its own company for many years, but now both Hobart & Miller are owned by Illinois Tool Works (ITW). I own a Hobart Champion Portable and can not complain about anything on it.

Hobart and Miller are owned by the same co. You can read alot about the IM 250 on hobart"s website. Search webtalk.
