O/T moving shelled corn with shop vac?

I have seen ads for shop vacs that can move & pump water. I was wondering if these would move corn a short distance, like less than 10 feet?

Those ShopVacs that "move water" do so with a water pump built into them,at least the ones I've seen.The vacuum motor sucks the water into the tank,just like any Shopvac,but the water is pumped out by an internal liquid transfer pump.Prolly wouldn't handle corn.
Now a portable"material blower"like some dust/chip collectors or insulation blowers use might do the trick,but will prolly crack the corn going thru the impellor.

I always clean my grain drill out with the shop vac. but if you have any volume it would be faster with a shovel. Unless you have much volume than I would use the skid loader. Or if your moving it from grain bin to semi then I would set up the auger. I guess I need more information.

i have a J&W corn fuel systems vac system it will move corn over 70 feet and get alot of dust and fines out if your wanting to move for a corn burner

Volume would be very low.

They have 6 inch grain vacs that use 100 hp tractors power to blow grain to & from grain bins.

I remember years ago. I went to a jobsite early one morning and a woman was using one of them to suck up sunflower seeds. For some reason she went in to the bin and ended up getting sucked in up to her shoulders and sinking fast. If I hadn't shown up earlier than usual, she prolly woulda suffocated. I got her out and went about my day. No fanfare, no big deal. She brought me a six pack the next day.

Not all the hoopla you see on the news nowadays.

What are you trying to do exactly? My son was a field rep. for NK seeds. He sucked up lots of seed corn while emptying planter boxes in the process of switching to another variety of seed.
