I sell`em for $2.00 a lb. hanging weight , they pay for prossesing which is usually between $.40 and $.50 . I haul to the slaughter house . I`ve seen adds for up to $2.50 per lb. sounds like your getting a good deal . I have just been selling a few that I put in as extras when I feed my own but every yr. more and more folks are asking for them .

Cut and wrap cost $.44 per pound. I just sold some for $1.85 and they paid their own cut and wrap. I think the market here in western Oregon will actually bear around $2.25 or so.

I sell for market price plus 5 cents a pound live weight (last I sold were $1.10 a pound live for 8 weights). Processor charges $100 to get them hanging and $.50 cents a pound for processing on the processed weight. Sounds close to what you were quoted. I normally pre-sell mine in August for $100 down and $100 a month until they are processed, then the balance is due before the guy from the processing plant comes out to get them.
