I use a shampoo squirt bottle held in a tin can mounted to the side of my 10-10 changer. I put the lube on the tire and rim then use a clean rag to remove the dirt. I also us steel wool to clean rims, then squirt more lube on, spread it with my fingers, and mount tire. Or go to the dollar store and see what you can find there.

Murphy's makes a tire mounting soap. I saw a guy use it to mount huge skidder tires by hand. He grabbed hand fulls of it to slop all over the tire. It's the same Murphy's that makes oil soap. Dave

BIG 10-4 ON THE BOWES LUBE. BEEN USING IT FOR THE PAST 25 YEARS ON TRUCK TIRES PLUS MY FARM TIRES-IT,S THE BEST IF YOU CAN GET IT. WE HAVE A LOCAL BOWES DEALER. I USE A 50/50 MIX.

Go to you'r local tire shop and ask them to sell you a gallon of the tire lube they use. In the 20+ years I was in the tire business, we try'd all kinds of soaps. NONE of them are as slick as comercial tire lube. My favorite was Bowes Big Blue undiluted. You may have a place near you where they sell commerical tire supplies.

You can get the bottles on Ebay. Thats where I got mine for about $10. What is the best lube to Use? I used soapy water yesterday on a couple tires with mediocre success.
