OT OT Feet of wire needed.

About how many feet of 12/2 w.ground wire would be needed to wire a 3br. 1700 sq ft house? Just normal outlets,lights.Trying to figure material out. Thank

If you have a floor plan you can easily plot all the "home runs" required for the various circuts. Don't forget you will need various sized wire for different needs (ie: dryer, A/C, water heater, lights, kitchen stove, etc.

After you come up with a number of feet of each wire size needed - add 20% to each. Somehow wire shrinks when you start using it.
