I want to get a spare tire mounted on each of my trailers as I know sooner or later sometime I will end up screwed on the side of the road. Both my trailers use a 14" rim with a 5 by 4.5" bolt pattern and zero offset. I know that I could buy rims for it at about $50 a piece but I also know that with all teh extra tires and rims floating around my grandparents and aunt's farm there has to be something that will fit. Does anyone have any knowledge of something that uses that bolt pattern and size or a reverse lookup on the web that I can use to find out what rims off what will fit?

I don't know the number, but there's a wrecking yard about 1 1/2 miles fom me called KK auto salvage. (on KK S/E of Kaukauna) I'd bet they'd have what you need and sell the rims for $5-10.

If you already know the measurements, why not use a tape measure to verify the new wheel? You will be able to weed out most with a visual inspection.

Have you considered taking a cereal box over to the trailer, making a pattern of the bolt holes and the center hub hole, and taking the pattern over to your family's farm to check the rims there for a match?

That's a "Ford car" pattern. Almost any Ford car from 1960 thru the '80's and probably more. Ford Ranger uses that pattern as well. Ranger wheels could be either 14 inch or 15 inch. I just got a pair of 14 inch Ranger wheels at a wrecking yard for $15 apiece this summer.

I believe many Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth cars also used that pattern, but had a smaller center (hub) hole.

All Jeep Cherokee or XJ's use that pattern and so do the square headlight Jeeps. They will be 15" rims.

FYI, ALL 5 lug chrysler production wheels will NOT interchange with GM or Ford.
