I just picked up an old Oil-Less air compressor.
It is dated 1959. It is built into the top of a metal "drum" the botom half is used as the tank.
The Tank is ASTM rated at 100PSI. The motor looks like a 1/3 to 1/2 HP. I have not got to the ID plate on the motor yet. It looks good, and the guy I got it from says it worked fine last time he used it. It looks a lot more heavy duty than the ones made today.
Is there any regular maintenance for these things?

If it's a diaphram type compressor, the only thing you gotta do is keep the bearing on the connecting rod lubricated, along with a few drops of oil in the motor.
Most of the ones I've seen go to the junk pile went with a busted connecting rod cause the bearing on the eccentric froze up and busted the rod.
