Where can I find out what the numbering system for MIG wire mean. I mean the numbres that start with a "60" or a "56". Thanks albe

Well, it's not all that complicated. ER70-S6, mig wire, for example, means..... ..70,000 psi strength, and S6 is the silicon content. Go to Lincoln electrics website, look at thier mig wires and other consumables, they will give you a complete rundown on Tensile, yield strengths, as well as elongation percentages and alot of other things.
