I have a parts washer tank I purchased at a farm sale recently. The switch to turn it on was broken so I was not able to verify it worked but after getting it home found out the pump is shot. The seals went bad and the motor fried in parts washer fluid. I have checked at TSC for one, as the Clarke that they sell is identical to mine, the pump is still available but is 45.00. The whole new washer is 82.00. Does anyone know of a way to rig up another pump in a cheaper method? Or a place to find this original style pump more reasonable? I payed to much for the thing to begin with and now the thought of soaking 45 into a pump is not pleasant. Thanks

Try a pump from an old dishwasher.

go to harborfreight.com, and fine one lthat is like yours. downloaaod the parts manual and order the pump motor for it. they are pretty reasonable on their parts. That is how I got a switch for my TSC washer ($1.98)
