I am in need of some tires about now. I need new tires on my truck and on my trailer. I also am getting cheaper the further I walk down this road called life. I have access to a changer and balancer and am planning on mounting them myself. Does anyone know of a good source that will ship blem or second tires? Or one that is within a reasonable driving distance from the WI/IL border?

Leland,

I was looking at tractor tires on tire town's site. What does "buffed" mean. On thier tires 101 page I did not see this term listed. Just wonder'n, unless ups doubles the price that is a real good price on back tires.

Thanks,

Dave

Buffed means their is some, usually cosmetic, defect. The manufacturer has deemed them safe for use but doesn't want their name on them so they "buff" it off. You'll still have the DOT serial number on them so they can be tracked to the mfg if there ever is a problem.

I have bought many of these from NEBRASKA TIRE DOT COM and had great luck, for cars/trucks, atv's, trailers and mowers

Bought a pair of buffed mower tires. They grounded off the brand name from the sidewall. Good tires but it took 100lbs to mount. Did it with a clip on chuck, long hose and distance.

Wish I could find a place like that in eastern Washington. Anyone know of one in the Spokane area?
