I just bought a slightly used 7000lb floor jack for $50 from one of the guys in our repair shop (where I work) He's leaving work and going back to school so he's selling off some of his stuff. It has the Michelin Tire Company name and logo on it. (Michelin Man) It looks almost identical to a Walker jack I already owned. Anyone know about Michelin jacks? Seller bought it at a Pawn Shop. He knows nothing more about it.

Sam's Club most likely is the original source. I bought one of them a couple of years ago new at Sam's. So far it has worked great for me.

Stopped at a local family owned tire store-service station to get gas. He had several Michlein floor jacks that the man said were bought at Sam's club, made in China.

EXACTLY.

Several years ago, I bought such an animal at SAMS club.

It would leak down unexpectedly from time to time, even before a guy could place safety jackstands under the vehicle.

I tossed it.

It's amazing Michelin would license their "good" name to be used on a piece of junk like that from "the land of almost right"!
