Hi guys -- need a bit of help here, and if anyone can do it, I know you're the ones who can. I'm trying to close a deal with another YT-er for an item listed in the photo ads. (Yes, Brian in IA -- you!) When I first responded to the ad using the YT messaging system, it went through fine, because after I clicked on "send" a dialog box came up and said that my e-mail had gone through and if the other party had given their correct @ddress they would receive it shortly. I got a response from the seller, and decided to green-light the deal. I sent an e-mail to his direct e-mail address, which my mail server (HotMail.Com) promptly burped back to me. I'm assuming that this particular message was mistaken for Spam and went into the corresponding file. So, back to Square One. I then tried to use the YT messaging system again, but this time (actually I've tried a couple times now) when I click on the "send" button, it just goes to a generic SafeMail screen and says nothing about my message being sent -- which it obviously wasn't, since the seller just wrote me and asked if the deal is a go or a no-go... I'm using Norton anti-virus on my computer and have entered YT's URL as a trusted site; is there something else I have missed? Sorry for the long post. It's like they say, To err is human. To really screw things up you need a computer. (As I write this I can almost hear my grandfather's voice tellingme that it's a poor workman who quarrels with is tools -- but he never used a computer!) Thanks for anything positive you can contribute to help me work through this conundrum.
