I Am looking for imformation on a hot water boiler.
Any Ideal what the pressure and the Temp.
Should be Runing. I have the temp running about 150 Degree and the Pressure running between 15 to 20 Psi seems a little high.. and trying to find out what pressure relief should be. there no number on the boiler and someone replace the relief valve with a hotwater relief valve.
200degree and 200psi. Is there any web sites that i can look at to help me set this thing up.
The only thing i can find on the boiler is Energy-Mate ERDC Tomah Wisc. 5400

Thanks Donald In Ky

I have one of these in my home. The elderly HVAC man that I bought the house from said to keep water pressure between 5 and 10. The relief valve is 30psi and my circulator pump kicks on when water temp hits 135 degrees F and off at 110 degrees F. Mine is missing the forced induction, I use the ash drawer to control the air. It keeps the house cozy.

Forced hot water boilers generally are set up to run:

cycle off about 165 or 170 degree F

cycle on about 120 or 130 degree F

preassure relief value typically 30 lbs/in2

Oops, the "wood boiler" thing didn't registe the first time.

I have a wood boiler set up on parralles with my oil boiler.

The wood boiler is set to cycle off when it reaches about 195 degrees, and on when it drops to about 165 degrees. When none of the heating zones are calling for heat, the hot water from the wood boiler circulates throught the oil boiler. There is a separate hydrostat that sends hot water through the heating zones when the temp in the boilers gets to about 210 degrees.

The oil boiler is off at about 165 and on at about 125.

Both boilers have 30 lb saftey - preassure relief valves.

Heres an ad for one

Link

the owner says he has the installation manual. Possibly you can get him to share the info over the phone.
