I have a dumb question - Does a Jonsered Turbo chainsaw actually have a turbocharger? Or does the "Turbo" refer to something else on the saw?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I have one of the larger size Jonsered Turbo saws and it is great. I have used Stihl's before and you can tell a difference with keeping the air filter clean beacuse of the turbo as described. The saw has great power too. Also, unlike my local Stihl dealer, my local Jonsered dealer is top notch with service, timeliness, and courtesy when I have dealt with them.

Husqvarna pioneered this process to extend air filter cleaning time. I think their patient has ran out. It definately reduces air filter clogging.

I heard that Husqvarna and Jonsered are the same or owned by the same company. Dave

Husky, Jonsered and Poulan are all owned by Electrolux. Some of the smaller saws of all 3 brands are the same thing except for color.

No turbo. Justs means air is cleaned of impurities in two stages, centrifugally and via air filter. During the centrifugal stage, most of the solid particles in the intake air are separated out before they reach the filter. Basically the air fiter is getting air from the engine fan area, is all it means
