Pressure Washer/ my lucky day

Last spring the pressure washer only worked for a short period of time. I had left it in the unheated garage to long last fall. Obviously something was damaged.
Replaced one metric o-ring with a standard o-ring, and it works. Wish I had looked into fixing it 4 months ago. I feel lucky today.

You can get a product called "pump saver". This has a hose on the aerosol can and it threads into the water inlet. It lubricates the pump and clears out all the water. I am on my 4th year of using this now and have had no problems. My unit stays outside all winter in the barn. No heat there.

Pump Saver was available at Lowe"s at one time. Don"t know about now.

pressure washers also are recommended to have antifreeze manually ran through the pump if it is not to be used in 30 days. The reason is that the antifreeze lubes the o-rings as well as the cold weather protection.

If you buy you a gallon of RV Antifreeze and run a some through before you store it for the winter you will not have a problem next spring.
