I ran up on a David Bradley gear drive G-4 chain saw ,The saw is in great cosmetic condition.Seems to have compression, carburetor leaks a little and will not start. doesn't seem to be firing. Does anyone have any ideas where to start? Also about how old is it? Is it worth much? Thanks,

Most likely was made by Strunk, and should have a Power Products AH-47 engine in it. They were real man-killers and not very resalable. When I ran a saw shop in the 60's&70's I would take them in trade occasionally from a farmer, strip the engine out for a few parts and junk the rest of it. Almost no resale value around here.

A D/B saw was sold by sears back in the 50 and early 60s. I have parts of two of them. Good old saws but they forgot the seat and wheels on them, they where real back brakers. You problem is most likely the points need to be cleaned or replaced

I have a big old David Bradley saw - I paid 15 bucks for it at an auction. Cleaned the points on it - fresh fuel in the tank and it runs pretty good.
