Soda Blasting

Has anybody used soda blasters for stripping and how were the results vs. sandblasting. Know that soda blasting is more expensive but also water soluable. What companies carry soda blasters and equipment. Looking for other options besides sandblasting. Have a cabinet blaster from TP and nice for small stuff. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

Do a Google search on dry ice blasting in your area. We hired it done at the plant to clean old machines prior to painting. Much, much less mess and pollution, yet it removed rust, grease, crud, and loose paint.

Hired a guy over the phone once, "sure I can do your tractor"....came out with a huge trailer mounted unit, next thing I see he is blasting my John Deere B hood with.... walnut shells! I said "hey what about the soda?", he said it won't work on heavy rust, I said "I told you it was an old tractor over the phone, you said no problem", I told him to just go since he didn't know what he was doing. soda will leave a better finish for you. i dont have one at home but we have a big one at work and use it for homers on occasion.
it is a lot messier though, but that could be due to the size of our wands.
