It's driven by a Chrysler flathead six.

On a nice trailer with a hood and side panels.

Not been run in a decade. Hoses and plug wires are pretty much dry rotted.

Any idea of what it could be worth? Thanks -

Hobarts were good welders. Some had the welder generator on one end and an electric motor on the other and some (like a 200 amp I had) had both plus the shaft came out the motor side so it could be hooked up to a gas or diesel engine. A lot of them had the steering wheel amp adjustment with the fine control in the middle made to come out so you could put an extension cord on it to use it as a remote current control. If it was running I'd guess $750 to $1000. Not running 4 or maybe $500. Dave

3 weeks ago I bought a Hobart G-3010 300 amp engine drive with the 10,000 watt generator and Chrysler 225 slant 6 engine on a nice tracking heavy duty trailer. Paid $1,100 for it and had to pull it 223 miles home. Nice running engine, welds good at all ranges and has a** enough to run my miller Syncrowave 180 to do my fine tig work. Couldn't justify 3 grand for a miller bobcat but wifey agreed on 1,100 for a back up power generator for our frequent outages.

Value would depend a lot on if auxiliary power is AC or DC, as well as machine condition. Years ago most grinders and drills were AC-DC, but no more. Also a current sensing wire feeder can be used if has an AC supply
These were excellent stick welders in there day and weld a lot better than most newer models of any make

Well lets put it this way, in my area my miller big 40 is worth about 2,500 in working cond. this was top of the line in its day [mine is a 1969 yr.] and have not found any better pushing a stick for me any way. Might be well worth to get in running shape if nothing else can sell to some old school like me that don't care 4 wire feed.
