Picked up a cherokee without an owners manual. Anyone know the factory weight and how much of oil you put in it?

10-30? 6 quarts?

thanks

I run 10w30 in mine. Takes about 6 1/2 quarts with the 1-quart size filter. In Fram, PH3600, PH3614, PH16, PH34 and PH8A all have the same thread and gasket dimensions, just different outside dimensions.

Hope this helps.

Anthony

I've got a 2001 with 4.0L engine. It takes 6 quarts w/filter 10W30.

I have a 93 4.0L and 10w-30 is the specified oil in the manual. 6 quarts with a filter.

You didn't say what engine is in yours, but I have a '90 with a 4.0 liter 6 cylinder. I usually use 10-30 or 10-40. Mine needs 6 quarts with a filter change.
