Does anyone make a 3" or 2" PVC fitting with two "Y"s 90 degrees from each other. I am running new bath lines through a wall and I need to go straight up with vent. This type fitting would require me to buy 3 instead of 6 couplings. Job would look and work better.

Be sure to use sanitary fittings for drains. If the tub and lav are close enough you can use one vent for both. You said the drain goes thru the wall, but if it"s a basement bath, I would think the drains would be installed under the floor, and connect to the house sewer.

Yes the fitting you want is made. Fittings are made in almost any combination. Go to a large commercial supplier and ask them to show you their stock or a catalog. Even Lowes or Home Depot carry quite a variety of most common fittings. Check out the link for Charolette Pipe Catalog.

Hi Jiles,

I think you and Scotty have got this one worked out already, so I'll just throw in a couple of comments. In my experience an exotic fitting can run 10 to 20 times the cost of the most common ones, and 3" fittings are starting to get into the pricey range anyway, so you might be able to save quite a bit of money if you can make up what you need from common parts. The other thing is, while the less joints the better might be true as a general rule, the actual difference might be too close to call. As Scotty pointed out, ABS is quite forgiving and largely trouble free. Besides, don't you want to finish this plumbing job while you're still young enough to enjoy it?

All the best, Stan

I don't think so. You could stack 2 tees and put a "Y" on each. Stay with the 3" ifn you have drains upstairs. What the heck are you plumbing that you need 4 drains in the same wall?

I am putting a new bath in my basement. The total run, inside the wall, will be app. 20'. It is a full bath. The main line is 3" with tub and lav. 2" I would like to go straight through the wall with each fixture entering the header at the side. If I had this type fitting, I could put each vent up with this type fitting. If not available, I will have to put the same type fitting in line with each others to vent. No big deal except the least amount of joints you have, the better off you are.

Thats usually true. ABS seldom leaks. No pressure.
Good luck.
