I found this tool in the bottom of a box of stuff that I bought at a sale. Can anyone tell me what it is, and what it's used for?

It has a John Deere sticker on it.

All those years I used a cold chisel and ball pein hammer, now I find that there is a special tool for the job. Oh well.

you didn't even need a cold chisel! All you had to do was whack the back of the section and the rivets shear right off.

Bought mine in '74, along with the Haybine. Cost over $30 then. Use one end to punch out the sickle rivet, other end to peen the new rivet. When punching out, tighten with a wrench- any slop and you'll break the pin that punches the rivet.

Well now I suppose it would work for both roller chain and sickle sections,that's my story and I'm sticking to it,have a good one

T-Bone and T_Bone are different in the eyes of a computer, one is hyphenated and one has an underscore. That's why password protection couldn't and didn't help.

T_Bone and T-bone are technically different user names since the hyphen and underscore are different characters to a computer. That is why his password-protection didn't help.

Looks a lot like a picture I have in a catalog and thye call it a combination rivet vise. Used to replace rivets in a sickle bar
