Supposed to be a laser that can be put on any saw. Like to put one on my Dewalt miter saw. Anyone do it? Cost and where available?tia, bob

Got mine for my 12" Dewalt and 10" Delta Mitre Saws at Lowes. Didn't cost much and fit right on the Arbor after the Blade is put on. I like them real well. Looks like the one below from Rocklers. A Rockler Catolog may furnish some info about them if you have a Catolog.

Got mine about a year ago at Home Depot - made by Irwin. It works fine. It came in a package with a blade, and total cost was very little more than usual price of the blade itself.

Think I saw it in a Wood Workers Supply catalog.

Mounts on the saw arbor and as the blade turns

it projects a beam along one side of the blade.

I checked their website and couldn't find it.

So I may have seen it somewhere else.

They did have a laser guide just for miter saws.

There are hand held 300mw & military only 500mw units. They look like an ordinary 2C cell Mag lite. They have enough power in a highly concentrated beam to cut flimsy materials such as tape. Or light fires. Probably could cauterize a bleeding wound, blind enemy snipers/gunners and illuminate targets for guided munitions.

I have purchased three of them so far. I put one on my personal miterbox and 2 on the school shop saws. The ones I bought are made by Irwin and were about 30 bucks a piece. I bought mine at Farm and Fleet which is a Farm and Home improvement type store.

Lowes and home depot sell them maybe other hardware stores in your area may carry them too, they usually just go on in place of the retaining washer that clamps the blade to the arbor
