Any one have any experience with an 339XP chain saw need something lightweight for limbing but dont want a consumer homeowner grade saw.

Look real close at the Husky saw you are buying. Some Husqvarna saws are the same as the Poulan saws. They are both owned by the same company. So be careful. If you want a good saw, look at a Dolmar, Dolmar is the one fo the oldest saw manufacturers in the world, they are very well built, very good priced, start and run good. I have been selling and working on saws for over 30 years, and I have not found one yet to be of the caliber and quality of a Dolmar saw.

Look at the Echo top handle saw, I believe it is a 330 something. Echo makes real good stuff. Tom

Home-owner saws are'nt worth it in the long run ,We run stihl's and J-reds and huskies and the stihl 026/ms260 is the best saw available for it's size and is the top selling saw in most countries . We have many bigger saws but unless you need the longer bar the boys always grab the 26's out of the truck first ,Light,Reliable ,Easy maintenance and capable of cutting above their size .

Chain saw folks are as brand biased as any group but when it comes to top handle saws almost all agree that there are two catagories. The 200T Stihl and a light year behind, all others including the XP Husky offering. Like the Cat guy said, problem with the 200T is it isnt priced for the faint hearted

Sthil makes a very good one for that purpose. I think it's a bit pricey. My brother likes his though. They make 2 versions a pro model and a lighter one for the homeowner. Can't think of the model # off hand .
