I went to an auction Saturday to buy another old
rusty tractor, but bought a used MultiQuip
welder/generator instead. Wife was happy I only
spent $1400 instead of the $4/5000 I have been
known to do. I bought it mostly for the generator
(8K, Isuzu diesel), since we have had more than
our share of power outages even before this latest
crisis. It's clean, has 1500 hours on it (maybe),
starts easy and runs real good. The generator
part is fine, don't know about the welder part
yet(no cables, connectors, etc. with it).
Question is, does anyone know anything about these
machines? It's a 270 amp DC welding. What about
reliability, parts, trouble areas, anything like
that? I've read most of the posts on welding here
and am sure I will be back with welding questions. Thanks in advance.
