Been watching Fleabay for a decent used Miller bobcat or Lincoln Ranger welder/generator for about a week. Missed a nice Miller in Conneticut then a Lincoln in Maryland. First one because I didn't dare to bid from a company computer and the second one last night because when I got home from work the power was out until 5:00 this morning. The heck with it, I'm selling off a bunch of John Deere stuff and going out and buy a NEW Miller!

You might try craigslist.com
Lots of stuff near your house and they all post the price they'll take. Like a REALLY big yard sale.

If you are trying to snipe the items, and cannot bid right at the close time (and I agree that is usually what you have to do to win for reasonable$$$) then there are some services that will automatically bid (snipe) for you. I have never used them, don't even know their names, but they are out there. You give it the auction number, etc. and the max you will pay, and it handles the rest.

You might look into that. luckily I usually can bid from work with no problem, but the last one ended while I would be driving home, so I just bid early and took my chances. Turns out the persons who already bid apparently were not watching it at the ending time either, so I got it for alot less than my max bid. Doesn't usually work that way for me.

I was looking at 2 'buy it now' Items. The second one wasn't too far from me. The seller didn't respond to my e-mail before I left work. I guess a bird in the hand is worth more than $1,500 cash in hand with a pick up today. oh well.. I like new machinery better than somebody elses problem anyway.
