AJUSTING VAULES ON A D17 ALLIS CHAMBERS TRACTOR

HI ANYONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO ADJUST VAULES ON A D17 ALLIS CHAMBERS 226 GAS ENGINE TRACTOR. I KNOW THE FIRING ORDER IS 1,2,4,3 THE VAULE CLEARNCE IS INT ,013 AND EXH .013 AND IT FIRES ON TDC. THE TIMING MARKS ARE ON THE FLY WHEEL BUT HOW DO YOU SEE THEM.IN WHAT ORDER DO YOU ADJUST THEM?

Remove dist. cap an turn moter till points R just starting to open . Then chech whitch plug wire the rotor is pointing to an adjust both valves on that cylender then do it again! after 4 times U have had a dig day!! go to the house an have a large glass of Ice tea!!
