I've got two tools very much like that.

One has a single curved wire at the bottom, like yours. But it is more bent. It's used to hold hair clips and cotter pins for awkward installations. The sleeve slides down across the hooked wire, holding the hair clip.

The other has two curved wires, of the same shape as yours. It's used to hold shims and such for awkward installations. The two curved wires spring apart when the sleeve is pulled back, and are pressed together like tweezers when the sleeve slides forward.

Posting a couple pics would sure help . Try finding a Snap On truck at car dealerships or garages . I was lucky enough to get some of my Dads old tools from the estate which I"m just now finding out what they are for . He was a certified Ford mechanic all his life . Good luck & God bless , Ken

Hmm . It almost looks like some kind of slide hammer type puller . But other than that guess , I'm stumped . A Snap On truck guy will know . God bless, Ken
