Rivet EZE II sickle section tool HELP Please!

I have a Rivet-EZE II sickle section rivet tool and have managed to break the small punch that removes the old rivets. This tool worked great until night before last. I called the Reuter mfg co in Hopkins Minn who made the tool after searching this web site and finding their # from a previous post. They claim to have sold this product to a Brus Inc of Eden Prarie Mn and they gave me the # of 952-934-9281. I called this # explained my story and was told WRONG NUMBER CLICK! Does anyone know where I can find this part or should I just give up? Im sure some where on some implement dealers shelf collecting dust is the very part I need. Thanks guys!

Try 952-974-1479. That is the number listed as the business number and fax number on the flyer that I received back in 2004 when I ordered parts for my Rivet EZE tool. It also says new address and phone number. Let us know what you find out.

I have found the rivet punches to be somewhat interchangeable between brands. In our area, farm supply stores sell section tool repair parts.

A quick on-line search turned up this source. Anything like your's?

Also, try giving Baum Iron a coil in Omaha. They used to have a variety of parts for these sickle tools.

Been there, done that, e.g. broke the punch. Just have to be not quite perfectly aligned and the punch breaks.

I found its faster to use a small grinder with a cutting wheel to remove the head of the rivet and then push out the remains with a 5/32" punch.

This may be the same tool that JD marketed?? If so, check with a JD dealer.

the best and easyest way is to shear the section off the bar then the rivets willpunch easely out of the bar btdt
