Thanks for your posting in response to my question on cutting torches. Went down and got my Harris torch, "T" type hoses, #1 Harris tip and O2 tank. I'm going propane! The safety of propane over acetylene is enough for me. Plus I can cook with it too! I appreciate the detail you went into in your post, it helped at the store. Thanks, Steve

Steve,

You should use a fuel rich cool flame for hot dogs so they cooked completely before you vaporized the outer layers. Just be sure to let any anti-spatter compound burn off the torch before doing any cooking. Not everyone has a high tolerance to chemical poisoning like I am. he he (long story)...
