What kind of Creeper is best for a 70 year old man that is 6 foot two inches tall and tips the scale at 232. I have had a cheap one , another 6 wheeler that I got at NAPA, neither worked to suit me, mainly because of the small wheels. I have been looking at one called The Bone, Any one got one, do you like it?

I use a Bone Rough Rider at work. I'm only 5'10" and it's small for me. At home I use stall mats or cardboard and ramps.

I've had and used several brands, and the Bone is a good creeper, but I also have a padded shop mat that I picked up at Auto Zone about 10 yrs ago but I have also saw them listed from Napa and others. When a creeper is either too high or too cumbersome to get into tight places,or when working outdoors in gravel or whatever, this this is invaluble. I didn't know how well this thing would hold up when I bought it ,but I have welded on it and everything else and it hasn't even gotten the first hole in it yet. Only about$25 or $30. Go ahead and get a good creeper ,this is just another option to keep in mind.

I am 66 years old with a back problem. I gave my creeper away to my son and I use a large sheet of cardboard when I work under a car. This allows me a much larger clean work area and allow for easy turning onto my side for doing work where I need a further "reach". I gave the creeper away 20+ years ago and never looked back on it as any great loss. I never could get accustomed to working from a creeper, but that is just me. I only mention this to give you another workable alternative. (and cheap too)

Ditto to the Bone. I would never get rid of mine. The only drawback, if you can call it that, is that it rolls so easy that you sometimes have trouble stopping it in time, and yes there is a little bit of a learning curve to mounting and dismounting because of the easy rolling and the humps in the corners but that won't be much of a problem for a big guy like you. The advantages easily outweigh the disadvantages.
By the way, I'm 6'2" and 210. Jim

The best creeper is a lift.. Have a good friend that is a retired mechanic with a bad back. He can't bend down to pick anything up off the floor. He has a lift in his shop and still works on friends cars.

I have had both styles of the Bone creeper. The regular one is great but, the industrial one is the best I've ever had and, I have tried a lot of creepers. The industrial has wheels that are a little wider that the regular one. It will move easily acrossed a dirt floor or even gravel if it's not real loose. Some guys don't like it because, it's not as easy to get off from as a flat creeper. Because the wheels are so tall, there is a tower in each corner that is higher than the rest of the creeper so, it is a little harder to get up from but, the ease of moving it and the comfort more than make up for that little problem. Buy one, you'll like it.

I second that. Bone creepers are great with the exception of their junior model - Bonester. That one has one major flaw - a deeply grooved exterior surface that collects everything that lands or splashes on it. Cleaning it is a project, so stay way.

I have a 42 inch flat creeper with standard wheels. I can sit up on it after laying down with out it rearing up on one end. It was a gift from my kids. I was a 6 footer when I was younger.
