Installing PT Fence Posts in Gravel Ground

I would like to build a high tensile fence on a 2 acre piece of river bottom gravel ground. I have a bunch of 6, 8 & 10 inch diameter posts left over from a previous install done by a contractor on sandy loam & pea gravel. My question is: Should I pound the posts or auger them? I can do either with rental equipment and my 65 hp tractor I have set up for skid steer attachments. I just am not sure if pounding will work on this gravel ground.

Pound them in it will work just fine and they will be tight when your done. Unlike trying to get the loose gravel out of the hole from drilling.
