I'll make this breif here, you can read the full story on my MB just follow the link below.

I ordered a 5 piece set of Armstrong flare nut wrenches a couple weeks ago. When I got them, four of the five were less than top shelf quality with problems ranging from missed chrome to rust pits, a gouge out of one handle and something spilled all over them.

I called Armstrong customer service directly and the guy said he was sending a completely new set right out to along with a return lable for the first set. I gave it a week and still did not have the new wrenches. Called again and got a lady who did not want to hear my problem and only asked "where did you buy them?". I answered, "Fastenal." She replied, "then take them back to Fastenal" and promtly hung up on me before I could say anything further.

I tried calling Danaher's main office using the phone number listed on their web site. I got the run around with menu options for nearly 30 minutes before getting disconnected. I called and went through the whole menu thing again only to be cut off a second time.

After talking with the manager from Fastenal, he admitted that they (Fastenal) also have many problems with Danaher owned companies sending out incorrect or damaged products.

I am completely disgusted with Danaher as a whole at this point and flat out refuse to buy anything from them again, even though I would really like a set Gearwrenches. I'm wondering just how many people have had less than favorable experiences with Danaher owned companies or products like Allen, KD, Armstrong, Holochrome, Napa, Matco, ect.

I'm looking elsewhere for my tools now and Wright Tool Company is gaining points fast with me not only because they have the tools I need but also from the way I have been treated thus far as a potential customer.
