Does any one own one the new Lincoln electric grease guns? 14 volt. What do you think of them? I'm really lookin' at getting one. I'm a real dancer, though, one day I want to go get it and then next day I think what's wrong with the manual one. I'm just getting a little stiff in the joints now and it seems like anything that makes maintenance physically easier has value to me, now.

Went to the auto parts store a few years ago to buy a regular pump grease gun. Salesman tried to sell me an air powered gun; I told him that my car only had one zerk to grease. The vehicle that I have now doesn"t have any zerks, so I don"t even get to use my manual pump gun.

I have both, the 14.4v has a 2 speed switch to select high pressure or high volume. The down side is that you need 110v input for the charger or an inverter if charging in the field off a 12v battery. Inverters draw current all the time whether charging or not.

The 12v has an 110v input charger or an optional 12v input charger, better for service truck or field equipment in my opinion, while the 14.4v stays in the shop.

They're great! Only thing is that if you get the one that has a rigid pipe and not a rubber hose, you may not get to tight places. But the rigid pipe is for single-handed speed operations where you need grease fast, like with my cousin's trucking business.

We're on the second 12 volt one. All in all they are pretty slick. A little ackward on some hard to reach zerks, but the cat's behind in the fall greasing the combine every morning. Like any battery tool, though, get one with 2 batteries, otherwise its always dead when you want to use it.

I got mine 3 years ago, I don't remember the voltage, but I think it's one of the best investments I ever made. It's faster and a lot easier so equipment gets greased when it should be.
