Schramm Air Compressor

I owm a Schramm Model 35 air compressor,Serial number 40707.It consists of 4 cylinders (2-compressor...2-gas fueled cylinders)I would like to know the model number of this motor.I need a starter for it as mine has quit.Would also like to know if and where I can get a manual on the compressor and parts.

If you still have an auto electric rebuild shop near you, take it to them. If might not be any cheaper, but you will bet a better job. Those one and two man shops use good quality parts and take some care in their work.

We have one of those one man shops near here. Every 100K miles or so I take the alternator and starter in and have him rework them, before something goes wrong. He likes that, its usually just brushes and bearings, possibly a starter clutch. I Don't wait till they destroy themselves.
