They make thinner blades of different stuff for stainless and other metals. The discount places won't have those so try welding supply shops or industrial supply places.

if you are using it to cut soft metal or especially aluminum that it doesnt blow up. when they plug like that the aluminum will expand and make the cut off wheel or grinding wheel explode. Trust me. ive seen it more than once.

This works on a 16" wheel so it should on a small one. While the wheel is turning give the cutting edge a whack with a piece of scrap steel hard enough to make a nick in it and expose new cutting granules. Be sure and wear your safety glasses.

What are you cutting. Those wheels are made to cut ferris metals so if your cutting softer metal they will clog. To clean them cut some good old hard iron and they clean right up but will clog agin if you cut the soft stuff

A boy had ground some aluminum rivets on a belt grinder.Dad came along with some rusty iron. While he was grinding there was a bright flash and dads beard was singed.Aluminum and iron powder are used in thermit welding.
