Just bought a needle scaler from Enco. After using it for 30 seconds, I asked myself why it took me so long to get one! It made quick work of getting hardened grease off, got into difficult places and chipped off layers of old paint. It also works as an air chisle and punch.Cost $34 from Enco.

First time I used one was fixing the sliding fifth wheel on an old Mack. The sawtooth rack was covered with rust, it hadnt been slid in 20 years. Needle scaler made quick work of it. Also works great chipping concrete out of mixer drums.

Bought a Sunex needle scaler a few weeks ago and used it to get the paint off the powertrol and cast iron frame of my "B". It was amazing to watch the paint literally pop off. No dust like a wire wheel makes, just small chips. Wouldn't use it on sheet metal unless you like a peened finish.

You got a good deal, as I paid 'bout $60 for mine from Harbor Freight. Wouldn't pick up a welding stinger if I didn't own a needle scaler for my rusty poor fitup and plain cruddy welding situations. But, I manage to keep things movin' and appearantly cheap 'nough cause neighbors always got something needing fixed. bjr
