OT: pool liner replacement cost?

Can anyone tell me about how much it will cost to replace the vinyl liner in a full-depth 18X36' in-ground pool? The current one went in in 1980 and it's at the end of its service life.

We have a company that manufactures pool liners about 1/2 mile from where I work. Family owned company. They've made all sorts of custom liners for pools, tanks etc. You might give them a call.

I replaced my 42x22 ingroung pool last year with a good quality liner at a cost of $4,ooo. This included removal, minor repair to sub form, installing, filling and chemicals.

Have a friend in that business, also a long time friend, he does this work dawn to dusk during the season, winters off, I'd have to speak to him on the details, but I remember him doing 2 of those a day, and over $1000 each, not sure if that included the cost of the liner. He works harder than most people I know, does an excellent job and gets a high premium for same. Shop around, do some research, see what other options you have to get it done, it's a niche business, these guys make good money for this work around here, every season he is very busy, replacing liners especially.
